Everdon V TOWCESTRIANS
Towcestrians Sunday XI got the new season of to a winning start with a 17 run victory over Everdon.
Batting first on a tricky wet wicket, Tows notched up 147 all out in 37 overs. Jack Parish (37) top scored with the bat and was well supported by new Captain Henry Drage (22) and Dave Roberts (17).
In reply Everdon were finally dismissed for 130 in 36 overs. James Baldwin (2 for 22) made the early breakthrough before Jack Parich (3 for 12) and Andy Roberts (4 for 15) finished off the Everdon tail.
Towcestrians league games start this Saturday. The 1st XI travel to Old Wellingburians while the 2nd XI visit Isham. The Sunday XI are Away to New Bradwell in Milton Keynes.
