Towcestrians 2

Kettering 1

Towcester find themselves in the drop zone after 3 league games so needed to be awake and bag some much needed points against Kettering this week. Tows did exactly that ! recovered from a hamstring injury sees the return of Laura whittle who’s skilful runs paid off and towcester took the lead . Looking strong the home side moved the ball with ease and looked to be the better team going into the half time break a goal in front. Tows took a while to settle in the second half following some tactical changes and were caught napping to let Kettering into the game and draw level. However tows remained composed and worked the ball well as a team. Kath pittam made a good run up the pitch to take on three Kettering players and cross the ball for Christina Clucas to finish and score the winning goal . Final result 2-1 to towcester. Next weeks game is away to Cannock .
