Remembrance Day Beacon at Tows

Towcestrians were to join in the 1,000 plus 'Beacons of Light' tribute across the country to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of WW1.
We will coincide the lighting of the bonfire, which is on our new land, made up of all the materials and debris from the acquisition of the land, precisely at 7.00pm on Sunday the 11th November in coordination with others around the country.
The bar will be open for refreshments.

Sports Update

The 1st XV sit 4th in their league having won 4 from 6 and have suffered from non-availability in key positions. But despite that we have won our two Friday night games under floodlights.
Tows U13’s - What a day and what a result! Winners at Peterborough U13s Festival.
The hockey section must first of all say a huge congratulations to Mel Linnell (left) and Sue Willers (right) who played for England at the Masters World Cup winning Bronze.
We are also very proud to say that THC won the summer league! Well done to all our players who took part and to Laura Whittle (left) for being captain.

New Changing rooms and clubhouse

Extra changing rooms needed for dry side sports especially hockey who need 4 at a time.
AGW fitness to have new bigger fitness centre within the new building.
Fundraising needed for these building projects.

Development News, what next?

The main bulk of the ground works will start as soon as the weather permits from next spring. It will involve applying for soil dumping licences, which will be undertaken by our contractors.
Applying for planning permission for a new access onto Greens Norton Lane for the contractor’s lorries and creating a service road to the new land for the contractors.

Development News, what’s happened recently?

The lights fully illuminate Chesil (pitch 3), but also have the ability to light up to the 22m line on pitch 2, and will be able to light most of pitch 4 when it has been constructed next year. New deer fence erected to keep the chickens out.
