Beer Festival Weekend

The 5th annual Beer festival was held over the bank holiday weekend. The festival got off to a slow start on Friday evening which wasn’t helped by the bitter cold but the awesome Skatoons band revved up the sounds (check them out again at the summer ball!) to keep the dancers warm!

A glorious day on Saturday saw Tows packed with revellers enjoying the spring sunshine, beer, cider and food!

Great food was again supplied by the Ghurkha Field Kitchen under the command of Major Mark Austin who served up the ever popular Nepalese curries. Also a terrific selection of BBQ food, Robbie’s famous hog roast and Saul’s Pies were served throughout the event till every morsel was consumed!

A popular artisan Chocolate stall and amazing cupcakes were available for those with a sweet tooth.

Entertainment for the kids was provided with a huge bouncy castle selection and the ever popular face painting was also available.

Another sunny spring day followed on Sunday and the large crowd just chilled outside listening to the Towcester Rock Choir and smooth Jazz.

Another fantastic event held at Towcestrians. These great events can’t take place without the efforts of some of our amazing Tows volunteers. Thanks to all who helped in making this such a success. Special mentions to Crispin, Burl and Ray with the beer and the organising, the U9’s age group team for doing a sterling job, serving up the food and the many others who work tirelessly in the background to provide such a great weekend, thank you to one and all (you know who you are!) and roll on the 6th annual Beer Festival!
