Rugby
The 1st XV sit second in the South West 1 East Division behind Chippenham who they play away on Sat 13th if you fancy a day trip to the Cotswolds to support them! They are playing some very attractive rugby at times but are yet to fire on all cylinders, so the best is yet to come……
The Development Team (2nds) are having a great season also sitting in 2nd place whilst the “Ultimates” (3rds) are top of their division.
Tows colts are second in their league behind arch rivals ON’s but are also progressing well in the National cup.
There is a great festive fixture at home at Greens Norton Rd on Dec 16th KO 7.30. Tows U21s take on Casuals U21’s. Tows have a number of players returning from University together with the youngsters from the teams playing regularly and therefore, historically is a formidable side. This is a great opportunity to come and see a glimpse of the “future” and you can be assured of some great expansive running rugby. Casuals, you have been warned…………….
So the rugby section is having one of its best ever seasons. Let’s hope they can carry on in the new year! Please come an support them!
Hockey
The hockey section is going through a transitional year where some of the older experienced players are making way for the new generation. This has led to some mixed results, leaving the 1st X! mid table in the Midlands Div 1 whilst the 2nds , sadly are anchored firmly to the bottom os the Midlands Feeder league.
The 3rd X1 however are enjoying their best year since being formed and lie in second position in Northants Div 2. A lot to play for in the second half of the season after they return to action following their mid-winter break!
Tennis
Tennis are also having mixed fortunes but continue their weekly battles in ladies, men’s and mixed leagues!
