Tows lose Playoffs in nail biting fashion to Ivybridge

For the second year in succession Towcestrians Rugby reached the playoffs to the National Leagues and sadly lost out to their west country rivals again. Ivybridge perhaps just deserved to win as they were always ahead until late on in the game when Tows finally drew level but could hold on. Match report can be viewed on the Rugby Club website…………

A huge thank you goes out to all who made it a most memorable day, supporters and players, M&J’s, Tows staff, volunteers who manned the “ Cattle Grill” and committee, all contributed to a fantastic club day, a great effort all round resulting in a record bar take! The drowning of sorrow went on into the night and a great day was had by all who came to watch, be it Tows supporters or Ivybridge fans, who certainly made themselves heard ( a bit rich adapting one of Saints songs for themselves! )! We hope there was enough cider for you guys and we ALL at Towcestrians wish you the very best for next season and good luck.

And last but definitely not least, a HUGE thank you to all of our gallant heroes that gave everything, not only in this match but throughout the season. To all the First Team squad and especially the coaching and support staff a massive WELL DONE for giving us all a tremendous season of entertaining rugby. We are so proud of every one of you and we will be right behind you next season in the next campaign!
