Weekend Roundup

Hockey

Towcestrians Ladies ended their season last weekend with a mixture of results and a mixed bag of final League positions!

The First team lost to local rivals Kettering once again with a weakened side and no subs and ended up 6th in Midlands 1.

The Seconds continued the dominant form and comfortably beat Kettering 2’s but ended up runners up, just missing out on promotion to Midlands by 1 point.

The Mighty 3’s capped off their best season to date with another great performance against runners up in Northants County Div 2 by beating OG’s away. Surely promotion candidates for next season!

The hockey section are always looking for new players and admin helpers, so if you are just starting out in the sport or fancy coming back to Hockey at any level please see the Hockey website for contacts.

The seconds came up against a very strong Ampthill side and came off the losers as did the “Ultimates” who were beaten by Long Buckby 1st XV!
The Colts however restored pride by beating Rushden and Higham away comfortably.

This Tuesday 1st April sees Tows in action away at NSB again Casuals in the semi-final of the Alliance Cup. KO at 7.30. please come and support! Then all back to the club for a pie and a pint!
