Weekend Sports Roundup

Rugby

The 1st team visited bottom of the league Salisbury at the weekend and despite howling gales won comfortably earning a bonus point win that sees them 4 point clear in the promotion battle for 2nd in the league. See Hugo Austin’s match report on the rugby website…………..

Because of the atrocious weather conditions, Greens Norton Lane pitches were deemed unplayable due to waterlogging. Other fixtures round the county were also affected which none of our other brave players could avail themselves of a great mud bath! Fingers crossed for better weather this weekend!

Sadly all mini and Juniors rugby has once again been the victim of the weather with hardly any being played so far this year! Mum’s, Dad’s and offspring are ready to go crazy…………

Hockey

Only the first team had a game this week away at high flying North Notts. Despite a lot of chances tows were unable to capitalise and lost through a short corner conversion and a penalty flick which stand in keeper Laura Abbott was unable to keep out. See Hockey website for match report……….
