Weekend Sports Roundup!

A clean sweep for Tows teams this weekend!

Rugby

The 1st XV were away at Marlow where they swept away the opposition in a flood of tries including a flowing Hatrick from Marc Yeats that keeps them firmly in the playoff spot!

The seconds were at home and nilled Old Laurentians whilst the 3rd XV Ultimates and Colts both had their fixtures called off so they played each other! There were some very iffy Colts playing and were beaten in the end by the Ultimates by 5 points.

Hockey

The seconds and thirds did not have games this week, but fortunately the 1st X1 returned to winning ways in a decisive win over local rivals Wellingborough which eases relegation fears for now.

On Sunday final Trials for the England Masters over 40’s Hockey World Cup Squad were held at Tows “Home” ground of Northampton High School. Tows Ella Bevan has been selected to be Vice Captain for England. The trials were conducted against an Invitation X1 from across the Midlands. Tows were also represented in the side by Gemma English, Sammy Boyer and Laura Whittle who lost to England 2-0 a great honour for the club all round.
