Cricket

Towcestrians Cricket Club was formed in 1934 with many of the original players members of the newly formed rugby club.  The club moved to the present Greens Norton Road site in 1971.

We currently have around 130 members with both seniors and juniors playing competitive matches in the South Northants and surrounding area.  Our outdoor season runs from May to August.

Playing and practice facilities are excellent, including new nets and an artificial wicket. The Sports Club’s development plans could signal an exciting future for cricket at Tows. With the provision of a cricket-specific area and the promise of top-quality playing facilities, we are aiming to extend the playing season and increase membership at all levels and age groups.

What do we offer?

We offer something for everyone from the age of 5 upwards. Different skills are introduced via fun initiatives. And talented juniors have an opportunity, via the county’s player pathway, to play representative cricket at both district and county level.

In the past, we have run a ladies team but don’t at the moment. We would love to rebuild this, however. So if you’re interested, please do get in touch.
