Last weekend was a proper good old fashioned rugby weekend. Saturday was Rugby VP’s lunch attended by over 100 people and despite some awful joke from John Woolley, it went well. We were also awarded 2 award from the RFU. That set the day up well and terrific rugby was watched both outside and the guys beat Witney and also the Saints on TV beating Sarries to get to the LV Cup Final.
Our new range of pies were introduced later in the evening which seemed to galvanised the assembled supporters into a proper old sing song. (thank God the club is situated away from other habitation! Even the Chairman hit the high notes!
A perfect spring day saw our mini and juniors swarm over the club’s estate and then the adults got down to watch a thrilling England v Wales game on our wide screen TV’s! hot food and cold beers was served aplenty by Darren and his crew. Thanks to George (Blanc) Newton and Sam Kirton for doing the food!
