Remembrance Day Beacon at Tows

Instead of the planned low key Bonfire night celebrations planned for Nov 5th, it has been decided that it would be more fitting if Towcestrians were to join in the 1,000 plus ‘Beacons of Light’ tribute across the country to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of WW1.

We will coincide the lighting of the bonfire, which is on our new land, made up of all the materials and debris from the acquisition of the land, precisely at 7.00pm on Sunday the 11th November in coordination with others around the country. READ MORE

There will be a short service just prior to this given by the vicar of Greens Norton. The names of the fallen in the “Great War” from Greens Norton, who’s parish we are in will be read out as we honour their sacrifice.

We will also respect a minutes silence to reflect on all those who “gave their tomorrow to give us our today”

The Royal British Legion have also been invited.

The clubhouse will be open for refreshments, before and afterwards.
