The Third XV Ultimates Tour of Chester took place over the weekend. No reports yet of results, arrests or injuries sustained either on or off the pitch!

Match reports are not in yet but it is rumoured that the Colts were knocked out of the Oceanic Cup by Buckingham this weekend. Buckingham are making a habit of knocking Tows teams out of competitions this year! Something must be done……. Buckingham 1St Xv visit Tows on the 29th Mar in a league game, the day of the Charity Testimonial rugby match, auction, hog roast and Disco in aid of the Air Ambulance and to buy the club a Defibrillator! We need your support! Payback time………….

Hockey

The first tem came up against a strong Saints X1 pushing for promotion and although Tows held them for most of the game, the opposition were ultimately too strong with superior substitute numbers meant that Tows ran out of legs and a flurry of late goals flattered Saints!

The Seconds thrashed a weak Saints 4th Team with Lisa Groves picking up another Hatrick to keep up the pressure on Daventry at the top of the league.

The result of the weekend was the Tows 3rd X1 convincing win over unbeaten top of the table Oundle 1st X1. This has been a great year for the 3’s despite being docked points at the beginning of the season, have showed there is strength in depth at the club with some veterans guiding the younger ones into developing players for the future!
