Sports Roundup

Tows had a week of mixed fortunes. A comfortable win again Crown at home in the league with a fine knock of 87 from roger Wilson supported by a very useful 40 from Rob Jones reaching 173 in their 40 overs.

Crown were soon in all kinds of trouble and succumbed to 72 all out with a remarkable spell of 5-3 by Tows new found all-rounder Elliot Parish.

However Tows didn’t fare so well the following day in the Third division Cup Final again Silverstone who fielded 6 ex Towcestrian Players.

Silverstone plundered the Tows attack in this T20 gam and finished with 178. Tows may hay got closer to the target but for a dubious LBW decision sending Elliot Parish back having made 92! Hugh William took 3 wickets in 2.3 overs with a pulled Hammy, for Silverstone.

Next weekend see the return fixture of Tows v Silverstone in the league with Tows looking to exact revenge!
