Double Whammy!
Rugby
Tows suffered an unwelcome setback in their push for promotion for National League status. They lost heavily to Maidenhead who simply wanted it more than Tows, coupled with home advantage on the artificial pitch and some indiscipline. Jim Wallis our chief sports writer, brings you the full match report in the rugby website, but the Director of Rugby was heard to be “not happy”! Training may well be stepped up before the next game at home against Newbury on March 19th!
Hockey
Tows 1st X1 may well be heading for the drop after a home defeat against bottom of the table North Staffs. Tows suffered from lack of finishing as they created lots of goal scoring chances including 3 one on one chances with the keeper. Time to rebuild maybe….
