Sports Update

Rugby

The senior rugby has had a good couple of weeks. The 1st XV has had a run of 3 wins in the league scoring over 50 points in each game, the last being another night fixture over at Old Scouts beating them 13-60 and sets up a great game this Saturday at home against Oadby Wyggestonians who sit just above Tows in 5th spot in the league. So come down and cheer them on.

Good results too for the seconds and thirds.

It may not feel quite like the cricket season, but it is right around the corner and in preparation for it, the winter net sessions for the spring of 2019 are now all booked and paid for (by the Club).
We commence on Friday 18/01/19 for four Fridays through to 8 February.
So, we start next week!!!
We have booked four, three-hour Friday night sessions for “winter warmer” sessions at Sponne, as we did last year; we will run U11’s from 6-7pm, U13’s from 7-8pm and U15’s from 8-9pm.
Lads can overlap into later sessions, if they want to, and if they feel they have the skills level of the older group? All are generally hard ball sessions – nets plus skill sessions.
We then skip two Fridays; the one immediately before half term, and the Friday of the half term (15 and 22 February) so we then re-convene from Thursday 28 February, with sessions booked for 5 more weeks through to the end of March.
Full details are on WebCollect – get your sessions booked now, as there are limited spaces……
If the weather is good, we then go outdoors for the Easter holidays.
