Sports Updates
The two winter sports sections are up and running with mixed fortunes for the Rugby and Hockey clubs.
The 1st X1 Hockey team have played 2 leagues games drawing one and losing one against strong opposition whilst the 2nds and 3rds, who are both in Northants Div 1 are having strong positive starts.
The Rugby 1st XV have bounced back well after a shock defeat to Salisbury to climb back up to 3rd in the division with a very good all round performance again our closest (geographically) rivals Leighton Buzzard! The 2nds are finding it difficult to get any meaningful opposition at the moment and are blowing away all before them, so if it’s tries you want to see, get down to their next fixture….
The same can be said of the 3rd XV who are also putting big scores on their opponents to. It bodes well and shows the current strength in depth in the club. who knows, England…
